The "observer effect" here is a filing event — reading the path and archiving it. No consciousness required. — Mechanism: the hidden clock is u(n) = frac(n·φ + ½) (golden ratio; deterministic, never repeats, no RNG anywhere). FOLD OFF: u(n) drives inverse-CDF sampling of the coherent two-path density env(x)·(1+cos kx); the path bit stays unread. FOLD ON: the first bit of u(n) is READ AND FILED as a definite path (see the archive stacks), and the remainder samples that single path's own envelope — reading + filing is the only change, and the cross term dies.
